The Secretary offered this message following the meeting:
Dear WASS Members,
On behalf of Governor Walker, the executive team at DWD, and me, I would like to extend to you our satisfaction as a result of a great meeting with all of you lasat Thursday. Thank you.
You play an incredibly important role in Wisconsin's economy, the development of our workforce, and private sector growth. Due to your significant impace, we will have more meetings in the future. In the meantime, I respectfully request that you please continue to do the following:
1) Continuously improve safety training programs; doing so increases your profitability, helps your clients and the state of Wisconsin.
2) Support early conflict resolution on discrimination cases and give it a chance for early mediation on probable cause determinations.
3) Continue to report UI abuse or fraud.
4) Take advantage of incentives that our training programs for Vocational Rehabilitation, Veterans Services, etc. may have for you, depending on your business model.
Finally, our UI team will coordinate the logistics for you to present at our next UI Council meeting.
