About the Wisconsin Employee of the Year Awards

Every September, National Staffing Employee Week (NSEW) shines a spotlight on the millions of temporary and contract employees whose talent, dedication, and hard work keep businesses moving forward. Established annually by the American Staffing Association, NSEW is a time to recognize the incredible individuals who make a difference every single day.
At the Wisconsin Association of Staffing Services (WASS), we take that celebration to the next level with our annual NSEW Celebration & Award.  This year's theme, Wisconsin's Got Talent, promises to be our most exciting yet!

Join staffing professionals from across the state as we recognize Wisconsin's outstanding staffing employees, celebrate remarkable accomplishments, and honor the individuals whose talent, commitment, and perseverance inspire us all. From heartfelt stories to unforgettable moments, this is dedicated to the people who truly deserve the spotlight.

Nominate your top performers, bring your team, and be part of a celebration filled with recognition, connection, and plenty of applause. Because when it comes to talent, Wisconsin has plenty to celebrate!

The annual nomination process for your TOP EMPLOYEES is simple...

1. Submit a short nomination form (names and positions) for each of your temporary or contract employees - your Super Stars - that you'd like to have formally recognized. All nominees will receive certificates, gift bags and be formally recognized at the annual award ceremony, which all are welcome to attend.

2. If applicable, forward the application link and encourage all of your branch locations to participate - many agencies submit multiple nominees and some nominate from every branch!

3. Most important...every staffing firm selects ONE of these employees to be considered for their top choice! Nominators are asked to answer 3 to 4 questions providing a bit of background on your top candidate. Your top-choice candidate will be submitted to a judging panel comprised of industry professionals not affiliated with a staffing agency. The judges will review the written submissions and will selected as the Wisconsin Staffing Employee of the Year. The Wisconsin Staffing Employee of the Year will be announced at the annual dinner celebration that takes place each September, during ASA's dedicated National Staffing Employee Week.

Note: In addition, the nominators are required to submit a short 1 to 3 minute Zoom video for their nominated op Candidate, their Super Star. Judges do not see the video and videos are not part of the judging process. Additionally, the Nomination Forms are scrubbed of identifiers such as staffing firm name, client names, etc. to ensure an unbiased judging process. The videos are shown at the NSEW Dinner & Awards Celebration and on social media following the announcement of the winner.
